High fidelity sound recordings and design for film, television and digital media. From studio, to stage, to set.
Milton is a multidisciplinary creative professional, specialising in audio production for film and television, music composition and video production. He is the owner of Sonauric Studios, his Kingston-based company, through which he provides sound recording and audio post production services. In 2023, he was introduced to the world of location sound after working alongside the legendary Production Sound Mixer, Chris Munro on the Bob Marley One Love film. He is also a self-taught polyglot and founder of Language Linkup – an initiative through which he promotes language learning in Jamaica.
Milton's artistic journey started at five years old, with piano classes at Coles Musiq. In 2008, he represented Jamaica at the World Championships of the Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Hollywood, California, winning three gold medals in Music, Speech, and Drama. He was an avid participant and awardee in the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission's Festival of the Performing Arts, and at age eleven, he was the 2011 National Awardee for "Best Original Jamaican Composition" for his original composition, “Society.”
At Ardenne High School, Milton picked up a new principal instrument, the steel pan, and during his tenure at the school, he became the Musical Director of the Ardenne Steel Orchestra. He continued to hone his craft and character, by volunteering as a touring theatre actor, vocalist, and composer with Father Ho Lung & Friend's Music Ministry to raise funds for the humanitarian aid offered by the Missionaries of the Poor. Throughout his teenage years, he very quickly cultivated a love for all things music production and audio engineering, which led him to pursue his Bachelor's of Science in Recording Arts at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.
Milton also discovered his love for language and culture during his secondary and tertiary education years, when he started learning languages online via language exchange applications and reading numerous articles from established educators and polyglots online. He now chronicles his own journey with multilingualism, language learning, and Caribbean culture under the name "The Jamaican Polyglot," and is widely recognised in his community for cultivating a spirit of intercultural exchange and language learning through Language Linkup. Between productions, he partners regularly with embassies, NGOs, and other institutions as a multilingual cultural liaison.
